The West County Museum is now proudly presenting its Fall 1999 exhibition "Marquees on Main" curated by Rick Hardina. This current exhibit, extended through March 2000, features memorabilia from Sebastopol's early theaters, the movies and vaudeville presentations. Vintage films will be shown free on video during regular Museum hours.

Typical Movie Projector of the 1930s Era. This carbon-arc unit was actually discovered in the Analy Furniture Store across the street from the museum in 1998.












Some of the Museum's collection of photos and artifacts of movies and theaters in Sebastopol. Early to middle 20th century saw movies very popular in the town.
